Ban the Mexican Flag

One New York [Times] minute after the arrest of accused massacrist Dylann Roof, baying, braying leftists were demanding that the Confederate flag be banned; after all, Roof was seen on his website proudly holding such a flag, wasn’t he? So every establishment-media news reader made sure we got to witness that benighted banner being dragged down from the pole from which it flew in Charleston, SC—urged and cheered by Republican Governor Nikki Haley. No, more, the very pole from which it waved had to be obliterated.

Not to be stopped at half measures, loony leftists were soon demanding that statues of Confederate officers be removed from any public view, even demolished publicly, just as Saddam’s was, and that the interred remains of historic Confederate individuals be disinterred from publicly accessible places and consigned to a black hole. We must stop at nothing short of a full-scale war against Southern culture and history. That’s what left-logic was telling us, wasn’t it?

In response to all this, I offer a modest proposal: Ban the Mexican flag.

That’s right, I said it: Ban the Mexican flag. Well, that accused murderer of Kate Steinle, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, is from Mexico, isn’t he? And he, unlike low-probability loner Roof, isn’t alone but one of thousands—proportionally far more than U.S. citizens—of violent-criminal illegals from Mexico whom the ObamaNation is encouraging to stay in the U.S. instead of deporting them summarily and finally as the law and the Constitution demand.

So, we must ban the Mexican flag: its display anywhere in public must be forbidden; further, we must demand that all retailers remove such flags from their catalogs. Cinco de Mayo parades…best to ban those, too, but if permitted, participants may wave U.S. flags and other flags, just not Mexican ones. While we’re at it, let’s have some public burnings of Mexican flags, captured for YouTube, to strike fear and trembling and submission into the hearts of everybody in America who came from Mexico…just to let ‘em know their place.

No, more, we must do more. We must seek out the remains of any historic individuals of Mexican origin interred in a public place in the soil of America and scatter them on an undisclosed landfill. We must ferret out statues and mementos of any such persons, or for that matter of anything Mexican, and destroy them. Heck, let’s start with that statue of General Zarogosa at the University of Texas in Austin. I say we need to send a band of “demonstrators” down there armed with sledgehammers to bash that thing to bits.

And then there’s that Mexican guy down the street. People say he has a Mexican flag emblazoned on his living room wall. Somebody needs to report that to the authorities. Let’s hope they’ll send a SWAT team there in the middle of the night to bash down his doors and windows without warning, scaring the juice out of his family, and then demand at gunpoint that he, in his underwear, yank down that foul emblem from his wall and lay it on the floor with shaking hands…and then demand, while they’re at it, that he hand over all his guns.

It’s all perfectly logical, isn’t it?…just a modest proposal.  (I profess, in the sincerity of my heart, thatI have not the least personal interest in endeavoring to promote this necessary work, having no other motive than the public good of my country.)
